He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Gilliam; and his brother-in-law Tommy Horton. He is survived by: his children, Josh Gilliam (Sue Ann), Whitney Gilliam and Jessica Hickle (J. T.); his mother Lois "Tiny" Gilliam; his grandchildren, KayLynn Gilliam, Jordan Mills, Corbin Mills, Hudson Hickle and Hagen Hickle; and his siblings, Doak Gilliam (Sarah), Benny Gilliam (Barbara) and Olisa McKinney (Sherman). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
