She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde McCracken and Arlesa McCracken of Newport; and her brothers, Paul (Dandridge), Carroll (OK) and Jay McCracken (VA).

She is survived by: her husband Darrell Mitchell; her children, Alan, Jamie Mitchell (Janae) of Morristown and Nova Bowers (Michael) of Talbott; her grandchildren, Zayne, Acoya Mitchell, Noah and Nolan Bowers; and her siblings, Teresa Messer (Doug), Darlene Ailor, Pearl Patterson and Bobby McCracken. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Avenue Building Church fund.
