He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Carter (Lester Gentry) and Kelley Smyth (Tim); his grandchildren, Ashley Murphy, Ryan Phillips (Jessica), Haley Tipton and Jesse Tipton; his great grandchildren, Daelyn Murphy, Tony Jackson, Olivia Phillips and Rocky Stokes; and his brother Paul Carter (Louise). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
