She was predeceased by: her husband Walter C. Alvis; her parents, Lonnie C. Matney and Beatrice Matney; and her siblings, Clay Matney, Benard "Dutch" Matney, Ruth Justis, Margaret Elkins, Wanda Cinnamon and Patsy Walker.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Trent (Raymond); her sister Reba Price; her granddaughters, Traci Samples (Craig) and Tandi Trent; and her great grandchildren, Derek Samples and Brooke Samples.
