She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Ison; her parents, Carl Hicks and Nancy Jane Hicks; her parents-in-law, Murrell and Irene Ison; her siblings, Wayne Hicks (Polly), James Delmer Hicks (Mary), Billy Hicks, Alma Rader (Robert), Mable Starnes (Robert), Lyndia Stanifer and Barbara Cruey; and her siblings-in-law, Gene Ball, Charles Smelcer and Julie Hicks.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dallas "Doc" Hicks, Phil Hicks (Juanita), Odell Hicks (Dorothy), Frances Smelcer, Erma Ball, Glenda Gilland (Junior) and Debbie Brown (Charlie); her brothers-in-law, Dennis Stanifer and Doug Cruey; her close friends, Mildred Cartpenter and Debbie Bailey; and her niece Susie (Andy Foulks). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
