He was predeceased by: his father Larry Gale Hickman Sr.; his brother Olin Loftin; and his grandparents, Roy Charles Hickman, James and Rosa Lee.

He is survived by: his children, Veronica McCoy, Larry Gale Hickman III, Everette James Hickman (Autumn Marie), Kayla Rose Hickman and Liah Faye Hickman; his wife Linda Britt Hickman; his stepchildren, Faith Marie Marcos and Jonathan Dale Evans (Alexis Neikirk); his stepgrandchildren, Reyes Marcos and Zephyr Evans; his mother Jimmie Rose Lee; his siblings, Kimberly Dawn Hickman, Lakieta Rose Loftin, Cassandra Hill and Randall Hickman; and his nephew Charles McCoy (Monique). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
