He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Southerland and Angeline Southerland; his brother Willis Southerland; and his cousin Darvin Marshall. He is survived by: his wife Tennia Southerland; his children, Joseph "Jesse" Southerland (Andrea), Jamie Noland, Jennifer Strange and Billy Collins; his siblings, Brenda and Charles (Teresa); and his sister-in-law Gloria Southerland. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and several special friends.
