He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Wright; his parents, John Wright and Temperance Wright; his son Philip Ray Wright; and his brother John Wright.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Cretia Goodin, Chase Wright, Tracy White and Travis Pruitt; his stepchildren, Danny Bateman and Jeanine Pruitt; and his siblings, Mary Ruth Chambers, Martha Cox (Jerry), Phyllis Johnson (Ron), Raymond Wright and James Edward Wright. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
