He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Ayers of Morristown and Sharon Ayers (Billy McClain) of Morristown; his siblings, James R. Ayers (Renee) of Bean Station, C. T. Ayers (Joan) of Newport, Linda Ayers of Morristown, Opal Short (Stanley) of Richmond, VA and Lisa Smallwood of Morristown; his grandchildren, Tyler Ayers (Ceaira), Brianna Dixon, Kendra Dixon, Nathan Dixon and Jailyn Dixon; his great grandchildren, Kingston A. Ayers and Arianna H. Ayers; and his close friend Earl Kitts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
