He is survived by: his wife Maxie Lakins Gilbert; his son Joseph Jr.; his daughter-in-law Kim Gilbert; his daughter Crystal; his son-in-law Will Scott; his granddaughters, Kayla Ginn (Ira), Katie Lietzke (Ryan), Grace and Emma Scott; and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Amelia Ginn and Andrew Lietzke.
