He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Mary Cox and James Ronnie Hollifield; and his brother David Hollifield. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Hollifield; his son Austin Hollifield; his parents-in-law, Audrey and George Matthews; his siblings-in-law, Victor Abbott (Angie), Ty Abbott and Wendy Smith (Josh); and his aunt Alice Treece. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, and extended family.
