He was predeceased by: his father Gale Blevins; and his siblings, Robert Louis Blevins, Charles Blevins, Willie G. Davis, Beatrice Sims and Julia A. Fanney.

He is survived by: his wife Belinda Cotner Blevins; his sons, Tim Blevins (Portland) and Julian Blevins (Gina) of Laveen, AZ; his siblings, Lena Hampton of Morristown, Mary Cooper of Morristown, Louise Quarles (Lee) of Morristown, Lorine Stone of Morristown, Henry Freeman (Liz) of Lodi, CA, Scoval Blevins of Newman, GA and Darrell Blevins of Morristown; and his aunt Gladys Parkey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
