He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Herrell Smith; his children, Lisa Wallen, Ricky Smith, Robert Smith, Vanessa McGill, Jimmy Davis and John Davis; his sister Helen Lois Clemmons; his niece Laura Lea Patterson; his great-niece Emmalee Patterson; and his caregiver Ty Webber. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
