He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Adkins and Viola Adkins; and his brothers, Ronnie and Danny Adkins. He is survived by: his close friend Larry Slagle; his wife Janice Lane Adkins; his sons, Shane (Amanda Adkins), John Adkins and Chris (Andrea Adkins); his grandchildren, Ty, Sydnie, Blake, Katelyn, Lane, Ella and Kingsley; his great grandchildren, Jimmy, Cohen and Skye; and his sister-in-law Alberta Adkins (Wanda Slagle).
