He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Atkins Russell; his daughters, Charlene Russell and Sharon Hollifield; his parents, Walter Russell and Bertie Minor Russell; and his brothers, Tony, Arlie, Hubert, Wayne and Curt Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Russell (Charles), Annette Scherbert, Debra Lovell (Terry), Loretta Gibson (Scotty) and Jerry Russell; and his siblings, Patricia Clark, Bobby Russell (Susie) and Glenn Russell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and other family members.
