He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley Woods and Ella Mae Wice Woods; and his siblings, R. T. Woods of Kansas City, MO, Bill Woods of Phoenix City, AL, Ed Woods (Madisonville) and Margaret "Tensie" Stephenson (White Pine).
He is survived by: his wife Ada Woods; his children, Pamela Dawn Cantwell (Marty), Jaime Christopher Woods (Kim) and Karla Renee Taylor (Andy); his grandchildren, Derrick Cantwell (Christina), Brad Cantwell (Logan), Lashae Lamb (Adam), Brittany Ivy (Danny) and Hunter Furches; his sisters, Dorthy Thomason Akard (Morristown), Betty Loveday (Dandridge) and Emma Woods (Whitesburg); his siblings-in-law, Sonny Lawson (Janet), George Lawson (Christy), Barbara Murphy (Jim) and Sue Marrisett; and also, Gary, Shelley Bailey, Mike and Mary Lou Hayes. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
