He was predeceased by: his mother Kathleen Ross; his stepfather Eugene Ross; and his siblings, Carol Donna Fields and Samuel Cecil Ross. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ross; his children, Joyce Ross (Richard Von Nida), David Ross (Hope) and Daniel Ross (Tracy); his grandchildren, Adrian Merritt, Rachel Merritt, David Michael Ross, James Ross, Faith Ross, Grace Ross, Caleb Ross, Ana Ross, Sierra Ross, Todd Ross and Ben Ross; his great grandchild Akiha Ross; and also Shelly Frazier. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
