He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Willie Hall Mangum; his siblings, Donald Mangum and Mary Reid; and his grandson James Charles Mangum (Charlie).
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Jablonski Mangum of Morristown, TN; his children, Dr. Larry M. Mangum of Morristown, TN, Karen Rochelle of Gray, TN, Kathy Angle (Mike) of Bluefield, VA and Becky Mason (Bryan) of Piney Flats, TN; his brother Gayle Mangum (Susan) of Chattanooga, TN; and his grandsons, Michael Lyons, Dustin Mason, Matthew Rochelle, Samuel Mangum and John Mark Mangum. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
