He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Fortner and Cathren Fortner of Bristol; his brother Wayne Fortner; and his mother-in-law Lee Sutherland of Kingsport. He is survived by: his wife Donna Fortner; his sons, Eric Fortner (Elisha) and Scott Fortner; his grandchildren, Allie, Trinity, Tinley, Dylan and Cooper Fortner; his siblings, Tom Fortner (Judy) of Blountville and Kathy Seymour of Bristol; his sisters-in-law, Diana White of Bristol and Karen Fortner of Kingsport; and his father-in-law Bob Sutherland of Kingsport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
