He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Harris Smith; his children, Ashley Bowlin (Josh Reeves), Tiffany (Chris Tipton), Jacob Smith (Megan Mitchell) and Caitlyn Smith of Whitesburg; his grandchildren, Nicole Brooklyn Nech, Leslie, Peyton Bowlin, Corey and Hailey Tipton of Mosheim; his siblings, Judy, David Smith and Kathy Vance; and his aunts, Ruth Purkey and Flonzie Bentley.
