He was predeceased by: his parents, L. V. Crittenden and Lena Belle Crittenden; his brother James Crittenden; and his granddaughter Kelly Crittenden. He is survived by: his wife Joan "Jo" Crittenden; his son John Crittenden; and his sister Virgie Johnson (Ellis). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
