He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Bacon; his son Phillip Bacon; and his parents, Minnis Bacon and Chlora Bacon. He is survived by: his son Jeff Bacon; his stepson Danny Holbert; his grandchildren, Addison Bacon and Emily Cobble; his stepgrandchildren, Brian Hause, Joe Hause and Tiffany Hause; his great grandchild Asher Cobble; and his sisters, Katherine Harville and Mary Wise. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
