He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Dixon and Catherine Forgey Dixon of Morristown. He is survived by: his wife Susan Stafford Dixon; his sons, Nathan and Nicholas Dixon of Sneedville; his granddaughter Makinley Dixon (Bam Bam); his brother Richard Dixon (Janis); and his siblings-in-law, Pete Stafford (Cheryl Lynn), Libby Padgett (Steve) and Gail Jue (Harry). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“To the loved ones of Harlan F. Dixon, I wanted to express my sorrow to hear of Harlan's passing. Harlan was one of my first friends back when I entered Robert's School, 2nd grade, Mrs Hickey's class. I still have the class picture. Living down the street from each other, we were friends all the way up until we graduated from ME high school in 1972. Please keep him in your fond memory forever. - James D. Freels”
