He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenny Hurst and Helen Hurst. He is survived by: his sons, Nick Hurst (Kasey) and Ethan Hurst (Tinsley); his grandchildren, Alexandria Hurst, Riley Collins, Bella and Geri Smith; his sister Dawn Wilson (Johnny); and his niece Emily Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children at donate.lovetotherescue.org.
