He is survived by: his wife Edna Bass; his children, Gerald Daniel Bass (Kimberly Mitchell Bass), Tambra Bass Urbanowski (Robert) and Pamela Bass Boyd (Billy); his siblings, Bill Bass of Cocoa Beach, FL, Ronald Bass of Morristown and Sue Bass Cate of Kingsport; and his grandchildren, Brandi Young, Joshua Bass (Brittiney), Austin Helton (Lindsay), Zachary Boyd (Brittiney), Quentin Boyd (Brittany Sue), Jordan Boyd (Monica) and Caleb Boyd (Julia Lampkins).
