He is survived by: his wife Ann Mathes; his children, DeWayne Morgan (Jay), Lynn Mathes (Amy) and Kim Mathes; his siblings, Mayford Mathes, Grace Stephen, Fleeta Mathes and Donna Mathes; and his adoptive son Brian Elderidge (Tina). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
