He is survived by: his wife Emma Hayes; his son Mark Hayes; his stepchildren, Melody Jones (Eddie), Lester Turner (Wendy), Laura Phipps (Jerry), Terri Espenoza (Robert), Robert Turner (Stella) and Sammie Turner; his grandchildren, Ashley Hayes, Trey Hayes and Rachel Hayes; his siblings, Edna Farmer and Lon Hayes (Joan); and his caregivers, Lester Turner, Jr., Melody Jones, Robert Turner and Terri Espenoza. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
