He was predeceased by: his parents, Doc Dewey Barnette and Laurie Loveday Barnette; and his siblings, Dewey Barnette, James Barnette, Helen Bunch, Mary Sue "Ruth" Lackey and Agnes Grooms. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
