He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Dixon and Lettie Dixon; his former wife Carol Anne Dixon; and his brothers, James Dixon of Wise and Allen Dixon of Stafford, Virginia..

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Dixon; his children, Anissa Davis (Terry) of Bean Station and Bill Dixon (Jessie) of Florida; his stepdaughter Tammy Rimm (Kevin); his stepgranddaughters, Samantha and Elizabeth of Dandridge, TN.; his stepson Daniel Lusk (Jamie); his stepgrandchildren, Zachary, Shelby, Brenden, Chloe and Aubriana of Woodbury, TN.; his siblings, Effie Hatton (Charles) of Letcher, Rosemary Dixon of Union, Doug Dixon (Martha) of Letcher Kentucky and Milton Dixon (Shirley) of St. Paul; his sisters-in-law, Pam and Debbie Dixon; his cousins, Melinda, Judy, Diane, Karen and Brenda; his son Clyde; and also, Alysha and Caressa Hand. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-children, and great-grandchildren.
