He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. McGuire and Nannie B. McGuire; his stepmother Elizabeth McGuire; his brother Phillip McGuire; and his sister-in-law Nancy McGuire.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Jones McGuire; his sons, Josh McGuire (Brittney), Brad McGuire (Jessica) and Lucas McGuire (Karen); his grandchildren, Landrie, Brody, Kadence, Ramsey, Easton, Nolan, Huxton and Everly; his siblings, Louis McGuire (Karen) and Carolyn Rogers; and his nieces and nephews, Carroll Ruth and Bobby Redding.
