He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Jinks; his parents, Sanford Jinks and Hazel Carter Jinks; his brother Herman Kyle "Buddy" Jinks; and his siblings-in-law, Gene Lawson, Troy Lawson (Teresa) and Claude Lawson (Bobbie).

He is survived by: his brother Eugene Jinks (Norma); and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Lawson (Judy) and Wayne Lawson (Barbara). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to: French Broad Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1577, Dandridge, TN 37725.
