He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston Vaughn and Velora Pierce Vaughn; his sister Anita Vaughn Smith; and his brother-in-law James Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Horton Vaughn; his daughters, Barbara Vaughn and Amanda Alexander (Tommy); his grandchildren, Zane, Zeke, Zebo, Zep Grubb, Dylan, Sophie and Ethan Alexander; his niece Deard Beard (Satch Dalton); and his nephew Gary Smith (Sharon).
