He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Griffin (Andrew) and Regina Byrd (Greg); his grandchildren, Cassandra Jenkins (Will), Connor Carpenter, Allison Schmidt, Brandon Byrd and Kendra Byrd; his great grandchildren, Anna and Katie Byrd; and his siblings, Ted McCoy, Ned McCoy, Larry McCoy, Jeff McCoy, Mark McCoy, Michael McCoy, Judy Seals, Shelia Bales, Dorothy Bales and Brenda Shepherd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
