He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Carman Gilbert; his daughter Jane Ann Gilbert-Hill (Bill) of Springfield, KY; his grandchildren, Rikki Fry of Bardstown, KY, Emily Gonzalez (Javier) of Bardstown, KY, Lindsey Cermola of Springfield, KY and Nicholas Jarvis (Brittanie); his son-in-law Charlie Jarvis; and his sister Hattie Morgan of Virginia, MN. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Friends of Hospice Serenity House in Morristown.
