She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Richard Bireley; her daughter Mary Gwendolyn Bireley; her parents, Gwendolyn Harrell Garrett and Hiram Wolfe Garrett; her sisters, Kathryn Garrett Haun and Charlyn Garrett Hughes; and also Mary Ann McCrary Knight.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Cornwell (Gary) of Bluefield, VA and Kathryn Plouff (Gregg) of New Smyrna.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church, Daily Bread or Matts.
