Betty J. Allen Martinez Obituary
On Sunday, June 12, 2022, Mrs. Betty Jean Haney Martinez, loving mother of five children, went to be with the Lord at the age of 74.
She attended True Light Holiness FBH Church.
Betty was born on March 9, 1948 in Newport, TN. She retired from Morristown Hamblen Hospital and Park West Regional. Betty enjoyed family gatherings and cooking for friends, family, and holidays. She was preceeded in death by her late husband David "Big Jim" Haney, father Tom B. Allen, mother Flossie Allen, sister Marilyn Gudger, and brother Charles Elbert Allen, She is survived by her husband Arnulfo Martinez, sons David Aundra Haney (Trish), James Lee Haney (Rose), daughters Bridgette Jackson, Rachel Haney, Amee Haney (Adorfo Hernandez), grandchildren David Evans, Chelsy Burum, Blake Haney, Adrian Haney (Digna Mercy Garcia), Tressie Barrett, Jeff Barrett, Brittany Scott, Anthony Scott, Blake Edwards, Tomasita Duarte, Savannah Haney, Joey Duarte, Kaylen Duarte, Erizia Duarte, Dezmon Duarte, Deshaun Duarte, Zhane Duarte, Ethan Duarte, and Elizabeth Duarte, brothers and sisters-in-law George and Josephine Allen, Carlos and Robin Allen, brother Rosco Allen, sister and brother-in-law Carolyn (Allen) and Albert Davis, sisters Barbara Allen, Sissy Bernice Allen, and Wendy Allen, great grandchildren Amelia Evans, Rylee Burum, Ava Haney, Emery Haney, Isabelle Barrett, Scarlet Barrett, a host of friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a devoted and loving friend Tony Scott.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022 in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Senter officiating. Interment will follow at Faubion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Monday at Costner-Maloy prior to the service.
