He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ben Helton and Mary Delcia Helton; his stepmother Mary Jane Trent; his brothers, Allen, Waylon, Delano and Dale Trent; and his grandson Skylar Trent.
He is survived by: his children, Travis, Mark, Christopher (Kathy), Dale (Darlene), David Trent (Loretta) and Cindy Jarnigan (Michael); his great grandchild Chloe; and his siblings, Shirley Lawson, Linda Trent, Kenny and Keith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
