He is survived by: his wife Kim Helton Holmes; his son Kirby James Holmes of Darien; his stepdaughter Jade Preston (Brett) of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Sally, Samuel and Sadie Preston of Jonesboro; his sister Eva Hilliard (Ricky); his nephew Rick of Brunswick; his brother Ronald Holmes (Roy) of St. Petersburg; and his pet Chloe. He is also survived by many in-laws and friends.
