He is survived by: his wife Janice McClanahan; his children, Scott McClanahan, Sr. (Lori), Penny Copp, Vickie Wilson and Cindy Bledsoe; his grandchildren, Scott Hugh McClanahan, Jr., Matthew Joseph McClanahan, Calvin Hugh McClanahan, Misty Sather (Jeremy), Brook Lyons, Joshua Knight (Sherry), Brittany Galyon (Blake) and Jeffery Fowler (Kamryn); his sisters-in-law, Debbie Price and Donna Hicks; his cousins, James and Joann Amos; and also, Ed, Charlene Shoemaker, Murel and Deborah Stepp. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
