He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie Vaughn; his parents, Aldon Vaughn and Louise Vaughn; and his sister Loraine Vaughn Greene. He is survived by: his son James "Jimmy" Vaughn (Jenny); his grandsons, Quinton and Zander Vaughn; his brothers, David Vaughn (Carolyn) and Allen Vaughn (Linda); his close friend Sandy Corey; and his friend Justin Kitts. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Morningside Baptist Church (2202 Chestnut Ave, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hamblen Memory Gardens (5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Russellville, TN 37860).
