He is survived by: his wife Terri Hughes Hollis; his parents, Fred E. Hollis (Teresa) of Woodbury and Rachel Mears Merritt (Ron) of Murfreesboro; his children, Michael D. Hollis, Jr. of McMinnville, Jonathan Hollis of Morrison, Colton Hollis of Sparta, Mason Zechary, Jayden Jennings, Levi Scroggins of Missouri, Danielle Stratton (Cody Owens) of Woodbury and Dakota Adcock (Turner) of Gulf Shores, AL; his grandchildren, Destinee Stratton, Andrew Stratton, Cadence Higgins and Jamison Adcock; his sister-in-law Perry Hughes of Woodbury; and his nieces and nephews, Christi Reed, Ethan Reed and Pearson Hughes. He is also survived by several step-brothers and step-sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to assist the family with expenses.
