He was predeceased by: his parents, George David and Dorothy Mae Tenpenny Reed, Sr.; his parents-in-law, Ben Clifton and Dorthy Jane Davis Grissom, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Melissa Mullins.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Reed of Morrison, TN; his children, Betsy Reed White and George David Reed, III; his grandchildren, Ryan Benjamin White and Rhettlee Andrew Burdick; his brothers, Roger Reed (Sharon) of Morrison, TN and Bryan "Rusty" Reed (Sharon) of Morrison, TN; and his siblings-in-law, Marty Mullins and Dawn Myers. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
