He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mitchell and Anne Mae Jones Mitchell; his brothers, Johnny Mitchell and Larry Mitchell; and his grandson Travis Singleton.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Walls of Denver, CO; his siblings, Barry Mitchell (Sue) of Ivy Bluff, Brenda Trail of Boaz, AL, Barbara White (Mack) of Boaz, AL, Kay Harrington (Dennis) of Lewisburg and Mary Hinzman (Joe) of Petersburg; his grandchildren, Rebekah Bouchillon of South Carolina and Dylan Pike of North Carolina; and his close friend Charles York of Manchester. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
