He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Brooks and Helen Nixon; his brother Sam Brooks; and his daughter-in-law Karen Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Trent Brooks; his children, Johnny Brooks of Mooresburg and Eddie Brooks (Missy) of White Pine; his grandchildren, Jake Brooks (Genesis), Jada Davis, Landan Brooks, Jericho Brooks and Slayde Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Brantley Brooks, Brayden Brooks, Brayleigh Brooks and Maddox Brooks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
