He was predeceased by: his significant other Barbara "Bobbie" Peavler Young; his parents, Alfred Young and Rebecca Hicks Young; and his siblings, Gladys Irby and R. D. Young (Fred Young).
He is survived by: his daughters, Renee Oglesbee Green (Will) of Mooresburg, Raemonia Oglesbee and J. D. Davis of Rogersville; his grandson Dillin Heck (Whitney) of Morristown; his great grandchild Esslie Heck; and his siblings, Katherine Mayes and Lon (Connie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
