He was predeceased by: his parents, Arles Key and Edna Rebecca Bilbrey Key; his brothers, Rex Key of California and Randall Key of Monterey; and his siblings-in-law, Elsie Key, Betty Key, Doris Key and Ralph Padgett.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Pay (Bill) of Cabot, Scott Key (Elizabeth), Little Rock and Stacy Key (April) of Apache; his grandchildren, Melissa Lemay, Sheldon Key, Shelby Nash, Payten Taylor, Coryanne Morgan and Amanda Williams; his great grandchildren, Emma, Michael, Maddie, Madden, Hunter, Ayden, Ainslee and Sophia; and his siblings, Fred Key of San Angelo, Linda Grimsley (Jack) of Greensburg, Rebecca Whittenburg (Odell) and Luanna Padgett.
