He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Parsons and Rachel Parsons; his daughter Connie Melton; his brother Charlie Parsons; his wife Janice Thomas Parsons; his children, William Randall II (Kasey) of Tracy City and Amanda Parmley (Micheal) of Monteagle; his son-in-law Michael Melton of Tracy City; his siblings, Janie Cantrell (Lowell) of Athens, TN, Brenda Trussel (late David) of Tracy City and Gene Parsons (Pam) of Cedar Bluff, AL; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Melton, Chasity Melton, Jordan Parsons, Brandee Parsons, Autumn Parmley and Danica Parmley. He was also cherished by extended family and beloved friends.
