He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Susie Smartt Layne; his sister Mitzie Layne; his wife Darlene Beene Layne; his daughters, Heather Kalmar (Nick), Ashley Layne (Damon Clements) and Samantha Layne (Allen Hoyt); his father John Henry Layne, Sr.; his sisters, Vickie Rollins (Ricky) and Shannon Layne-Carpenter; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Drake, Aria, Gavin and Thorin; and his significant other Zebia. He was also cherished by several nephews and extended family.
