He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Clay Padgett and Eula Gladys Hurst; his stepfather James B Hurst; his siblings, Bobby G, Bobby L, Bryce, Bennie, Bruce Padgett, Larry Hurst and Faye Everly; and his daughter Cheryl Padgett.

He is survived by: his children, Holli Volmer and Lonny Padgett; and his siblings, Freeman Padgett and Sherry Hurley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
