He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Carter (Virginia), Lemuel Carter (Wanda), Richard "Ernie" Carter (Traci), David Carter (Crystal), Alma Gosnell (Jim), Barbara Carter, Linda Choate, Sherry Painter (Robby) and Leslie Broyles (Brian). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
